Job summary

Foundation Building Materials is hiring an Inside Sales professional to grow customer relationships and provide expert product guidance. You’ll manage inquiries, quotes, and orders from walk-in and remote customers, while collaborating with sales and operations teams to ensure accurate pricing and timely deliveries.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years inside sales experience, excellent communication, and familiarity with Windows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years inside sales experience (incoming call preferred).
• Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional, courteous communication with customers before, during, and after sales.
• Provide knowledge on products and generate accurate quotes and proposals.
• Assist walk-in customers and handle inquiries or complaints promptly.
• Drive profitable sales through effective selling, upselling, and cross-selling.
• Enter orders, pricing, and customer data into systems accurately.
• Respond to orders and quote requests via multiple channels (phone, email, etc.).
• Collaborate with outside sales reps and internal teams to fulfill customer needs.
• Coordinate deliveries with Operations staff and schedule inbound/outbound shipments.
• Operate and balance the cash register and drawer daily using proper procedures.
• Utilize management software for billing, reporting, and project tracking.
• Maintain up-to-date product expertise and manage documentation for large projects.
• Attend all required meetings and training programs.
