Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sales Representative to own bookings and drive new business for a metal casting product line from an office-based seat in the Madison area. You will prospect, build plans, follow RFQs, and manage the full sales cycle from pre-call to close.

You will work with engineering and plant support, travel up to 25% of the time, and use CRM to keep the pipeline visible. This role emphasizes training, planning, and strong customer relationships with a structured sales process.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Inside sales or related experience, a track record of finding and closing new business is a strong plus.
• Technical aptitude and the curiosity to learn an engineered product.
• Strong listening, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
• Daily CRM discipline.
• Self starter with energy, persistence and a competitive streak.
• Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Build and run a prospecting and lead follow up plan across new and existing customers.
• Work your network to uncover new opportunities and win new accounts.
• Build sales plans that line up with plant strategy and capacity.
• Follow up on RFQs to understand what the customer actually needs, then close the order.
• Own the account sales process from pre call planning through proposal and close.
• Build relationships with key decision makers at target customers.
• Keep the CRM current every day so the pipeline is always visible.
