Sci Corp in Seattle seeks a Family Service Counselor to serve client families by arranging funeral and pre-need services, driving revenue through personalized service, and acting as the primary contact for families.

You will lead prospecting, build trust with families, and work with funeral directors and staff to ensure high-quality service and referrals. Strong commission-based compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of college or equivalent education and experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Current state/province issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Insurance license if required by state/province law and as prescribed by each state board.
• Able to work evenings and weekends every month.
• Able to drive frequently.
• Able to obtain and maintain an insurance license if required by state/province.
• Flexible hours but, at times must have the ability to work up to 12 hours in a day.
• Must treat others with empathy and respect.
• Knowledge of computers and some software.
• Customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead generation: Prospect at least 1-2 hours daily and obtain referrals.
• Build relationships with families; respond to inquiries respectfully and professionally.
• Network with community and refer families; present information to families and referrals.
• Collaborate with funeral directors, location managers, and staff to ensure seamless service.
• Prepare for appointments with professionalism and attention to detail; follow through on requests.
• Earn referrals by building trust-based relationships and explaining pre-planning benefits.
• Maintain activity logs to track productivity and outcomes.
• Support aftercare and ongoing services to protect families in the future.
