Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s North American Sales division seeks an Inside Sales Engineer to join its hybrid team in Mountainside, NJ, focused on power distribution. You will build relationships with customers and channel partners, execute sales plans, review plans and specifications, and provide quotations and technical support to deliver customer‑centric solutions.

You will collaborate with product lines and operations, stay attuned to market conditions, and assist in training Channel personnel on

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum one (1) year of work experience.
Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Mountainside, NJ.
Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with key customers and channel partners to enhance long‑term business prospects.
Execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements.
Review and interpret customer needs on plans and specifications.
Prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines while using sound business judgment.
Collaborate cross functionally with product lines, operations, and other internal stakeholders to provide customer centric solutions.
Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities while communicating such information to product divisions.
Assist teammates on training Channel on Eaton Products and Electronic Tools.
Provide accurate and timely planning and specification interpretation, quotation, and technical support.
Plan promotional events and presentations with distributor personnel to promote Eaton’s position, while developing a proven record of achieving assigned sales goals.
