Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage is seeking an Inside Loan Originator to convert inbound premium leads and promote mortgage products. You’ll consult with customers to identify financing needs, collect supporting documents, and maintain production and quality standards.

You will analyze rates, negotiate terms with borrowers, manage your pipeline, and participate in all origination steps, including phone applications. A background in sales or loan origination and knowledge of underwriting processes are

Qualifications

• 1 year of sales or loan origination experience in consumer direct or call center.
• Experience collecting/analyzing borrower income and negotiating.
• Experience soliciting new business proactively.
• Knowledge of retail product philosophy, underwriting, procedures, and systems.
• Experience converting leads and inbound calls preferred.
• NMLS license under SAFE Act, a plus; state license under SAFE Act, a plus.
• Analytical and communication skills; ability to collaborate.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Establish CCM presence by converting incoming leads.
• Analyze current rates and programs to inform borrowers.
• Negotiate terms with borrowers.
• Originate mortgage loans: meet prospects, counsel borrowers, take applications by phone.
• Manage personal pipeline to meet service standards and goals.
• Learn borrowing programs and stay updated on product changes.
• Utilize in-house systems and programs.
• Evaluate credit requests and market trends.
• Comply with federal/state compliance guidelines; overtime as needed.
