Position: Inside Counter Sales/Customer Service Representative – HVAC, Plumbing, Hydronics

Location: New Fairfield, CT

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: $45,000 to $65,000 Plus Bonus/Incentive

About the Position:

The Inside Counter Sales/Customer Service Representative must be organized, thoughtful, and willing to work with a competitive internal team as well as with contractor clients to help grow the business. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with all counter sales clients, supporting a growing customer base, and working independently with knowledge of the local market.

The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues to achieve overall company success, measured by financial performance, customer satisfaction, and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support outside sales representatives and plumbing and heating contractors.
  2. Process orders, track work orders, and pull customer orders.
  3. Maintain visual store inventory and unload freight.
  4. Promote company products and promotions.
Education and Experience:

Must possess an Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with 1 to 3 years of related industry experience, and a thorough understanding of the HVAC, plumbing, and hydronics supply business.

Accountabilities:
  • Meet parts requests efficiently through effective communication with manufacturers, account managers, and clients.
  • Handle questions and requests from various sources, prioritizing responses to maximize sales effectiveness.
  • Manage sales territory to exceed KPIs on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Source quality parts using optimal pricing strategies and negotiate prices to maintain revenue requirements.
  • Assist in planning and implementing promotional activities to grow the parts department.
