What does a Technical Support Specialist do at Rinnai?

Provide phone support for service, installation, and troubleshooting of all Rinnai products. Identify, document, and resolve quality and performance issues. Support repair and failure analysis of returned products. THIS IS A REMOTE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY.

  • This position is remote, but onsite training at our Corporate Office: 103 International Dr., Peachtree City, GA, may be required.
  • The pay rate for this position is up to $33/hr, depending on experience.
  • Must have electrical, hydronic, plumbing, or boiler experience.
  • Familiarity with schematics and ladder diagrams.

What you will do:

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing telephone support on service, installation, and troubleshooting procedures for all Rinnai products.
  • Following through with repairs, rework, rebuilding, and maintenance on returned products, including documenting failure analysis results.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Service teams to understand product features and quality standards.
  • Gathering and documenting information on potential quality or performance issues, and suggesting corrective actions.
  • Maintaining records of work orders, quality reports, failure analyses, returns, and shipping requests.
  • Maintaining company tools and equipment.
  • Supporting business growth and adapting to changing environments.
  • Performing other duties as required and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Minimum Requirements:

    Knowledge:

    • Technical Associate degree in plumbing, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
    • 3-5 years of technical appliance repair experience, with electronics, plumbing, hydronics, or boiler systems as a plus.

    Skills:

    • Effective communication, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong technical analysis skills.
    • Ability to work with diverse teams and customers.
    • Customer service and quality focus.

    Abilities:

    • Professional demeanor and confidence.
    • Commitment to business goals.
    • Strong technical and customer service orientation.
    • High integrity and honesty.
    • Independent yet team-oriented work approach.

    Physical Requirements:

    Prolonged sitting or standing, occasional repetitive motions, clear communication, and work environment conditions are typical.
