Role Overview:

The Technical Support Specialist provides phone support for service, installation, and troubleshooting of Rinnai products. Responsibilities include identifying, documenting, and resolving quality and performance issues, and supporting repair and failure analysis of returned products. This is a remote position.

  • Note: May require onsite training at our Corporate Office: 103 International Dr., Peachtree City, GA.
  • Preferred experience: Hydronic systems, plumbing, or boiler experience.
  • Familiarity with schematics and ladder diagrams is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide telephone support for service, installation, and troubleshooting of Rinnai products.
  • Follow through with repairs, rework, rebuilding, and maintenance of returned products; document failure analysis results.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Service teams to stay informed on product features and quality standards.
  • Gather and document information on potential quality or performance issues from field organizations and engineering, suggesting corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed records of work orders, quality reports, failure analyses, returns, and shipping requests.
  • Maintain tools and equipment provided by the company.
  • Support business growth and adapt to changing environments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge:

  • Technical Associate degree in plumbing, electrical engineering, or related experience.
  • 3-5 years of proven appliance repair experience; background in electronics, plumbing, hydronics, or boilers is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong technical analysis skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and customers.
  • Customer service and quality focus.

Abilities:

  • Professional demeanor and confidence.
  • Goal-oriented with strong technical and customer service orientation.
  • High integrity and honesty.
  • Independent yet team-oriented.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged sitting or standing, repetitive motions of wrists/hands/fingers.
  • Effective communication skills for information exchange.
