Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Seaside OR Yard, is hiring an Inside Counter Sales associate to help customers find the right solutions for their projects. You’ll assist customers in person, by phone, and via email, guiding product selections and handling orders.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional service, promoting products, preparing estimates for small projects, and coordinating deliveries, while building relationships and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months of sales, retail, customer service, or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail customers in person, by phone, and via email.
• Answer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and returns/exchanges.
• Guide customers in selecting the best products and solutions for their needs.
• Build positive customer relationships through professional and responsive service.
• Actively promote and sell company products, services, and related solutions.
• Prepare material estimates and project quotes for smaller construction projects.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales through product recommendations and add-on offerings.
• Enter customer orders accurately into company systems.
• Schedule and coordinate product deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor order details and follow through on customer requests.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking, merchandising, and signage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
