Job summary

Darwill, Inc. is seeking a reliable mail inserting operator to run Bell & Howell and Pitney Bowes equipment during 12-hour shifts. You will set up jobs, feed printed matter, and ensure output meets quality standards on the production floor.

The role requires basic math, ZIP report reading, and strong mechanical skills, plus the ability to work well in a team and stay flexible for overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience operating mail inserting equipment.
• Experience operating Pitney Bowes Flowmaster, Epic and/or Bell & Howell is a huge plus.
• Great knowledge in standard job setups and operating features of the inserter equipment.
• Solid Math skills.
• Solid written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to identify inadequate machine operation and make basic adjustments.
• Ability to read and understand Zip reports.
• Ability to sort and tray mail.
• Strong mechanical skills required.
• Comfortable working within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate inserting equipment on the production floor during scheduled shifts to the quality standards set by the Production Supervisor.
• Set up jobs and follow orders with special instructions.
• Oversee output and make adjustments as needed.
• Sort and tray mail as required.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain quality control steps.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Be flexible to work overtime as needed to get the job done.

Job description

Shifts:12 Hour Shift:

• Sunday - Tuesday, every other Saturday: 6 PM - 6 AM
• Wednesday - Friday, every other Saturday: 6 PM - 6 AM

Responsibilities & Essential Duties:

Operates the Bell & Howell, Pitney Bowes, Flowmaster-6 pocket, and/or other intelligent inserter equipment on the production floor, during the assigned time frames, to the quality standards established by the Production Supervisor. • Job set up
• Equipment operation that inserts printed matter, primarily direct mail
• Follow job orders and special instructions
• Oversee output and adjust as necessary
• Mail sorting and traying as needed
• Completion of production paperwork
• Quality Control steps completed accurately
• Maintenance of a clean work area, as well as other duties and responsibilities assigned by the production supervisor
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed to get the job done

Requirements

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours & walk 3 hours
• Lift up to 50lbs
• Intermittent bending up to 3 hours.
