Job summary

Darwill in McCook, IL is seeking a Technician responsible for maintenance and service on a range of industrial bindery and mailing equipment. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, PCs, and wireless networks to minimize downtime.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, 2+ years as a mechanic, knowledge of mailing and print production, ability to lift 30 lbs, use hand tools and power tools, and willingness to work outside regular hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience as a mechanic or servicing industrial ink jetting/mailing equipment.
• General knowledge of mailing and print production.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs repeatedly and use hand/power tools.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and maintenance on inserting, cameras, ink jetting equipment and folders in the facility.
• Prioritize issues to resolve urgent incidents promptly.
• Occasionally available to support outside regular hours.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Collaborate with plant and management to implement solutions.
