The ideal candidate holds a BSN, an active IL RN license, and BLS certification. Strong communication and analytic abilities are essential, with preference given to ER or Pediatric ER exposure.

Qualifications

• BSN required for Staff Nurse Inpatient role in Illinois.
• Active State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills are essential for coordinated patient care.
• Experience in emergency or pediatric settings is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes patient data to plan individualized care.
• Directs care and coordinates with any assistants involved.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff to formulate and implement a care plan.
• Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Documents patient responses and outcomes, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Uses evidence-based practice to guide nursing decisions.
