Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN required; ADN acceptable if committed to obtain BSN within three years.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; analytic abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes patient data to develop an individualized care plan.
• Directs care and coordinates with assistants involved in patient care.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians and staff; documents plans and outcomes.
• Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts care plans accordingly.
• Uses evidence and research to guide practice decisions.
