Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current professional nurse licensure in Minnesota or permit in process.
• Current BLS certification; TNCC or equivalent trauma education within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses health problems and develops, implements and evaluates care plans.
• Provides nursing care and documentation in medical records.
• Educates patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
• Acts as patient advocate and coordinates community resources.
• Interacts with peers and other healthcare providers to enhance practice.
• Demonstrates competency in assigned specialty area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• As Charge Nurse: manage patient flow, allocate staffing, provide direction, liaise with staff and physicians, review orders.
