Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Minnesota RN license or permit if licensed in another state.
• BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems, develop, implement and evaluate care plans.
• Provide nursing care.
• Educate patients, families, and significant others on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Document and maintain accurate medical records and reports.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Act as patient advocate to access community resources.
• Collaborate with peers and other healthcare providers to enhance nursing practice.
• Demonstrate competency in the assigned specialty and perform other duties as needed.
• As Charge Nurse, manage patient flow and staffing, provide direction, and liaise with physicians.
