Northwestern Medicine in Illinois seeks a Staff Nurse Inpatient to deliver professional nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Eligible candidates include BSN-prepared RNs with active IL licensure and BLS certification. ADN holders may apply with a commitment to obtain BSN within three years.

Formación

• BSN required.
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration abilities.
• Strong analytic abilities.
• Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years.

Responsabilidades

• Collects and analyzes data, develops an individualized care plan, coordinates care delivery, and evaluates progress toward outcomes.
• Directs care and oversees nursing assistants involved in patient care.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians and staff to document a comprehensive plan of care.
• Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates the care plan accordingly.
• Uses evidence and research to inform nursing practice.
