Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse Inpatient to provide care for acutely ill patients on a two 12-hour shift schedule, with every third weekend nights and rotating holidays.

The RN will plan, implement, and evaluate care, collaborate with the health team, document care, and participate in governance. Requires BSN, IL RN, and BLS; inpatient acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN degree and current Illinois RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Analytical abilities to assess and plan patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops individualized care plans and evaluates progress.
• Directs care and coordinates with any assistants involved in patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents plan and communications.
• Participates in governance, committees and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates care plan.
• Utilizes evidence-based practice to guide care decisions.
