Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse Inpatient in Illinois. The role requires three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

The nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process, collaborates with the health team, and adheres to ANA standards. A BSN and IL RN license with BLS are required, along with strong collaboration and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BSN degree and current State of Illinois RN license with active BLS.
• Acute care inpatient nursing experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, plans, coordinates care and evaluates progress toward goals.
• Directs care and determines appropriate use of any nursing assistants.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents care plan focused on outcomes.
• Participates in shared governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions and adjusts the plan of care accordingly.
• Uses best available evidence to guide practice decisions.
