Job summary

Ochsner Health System in New Orleans is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (Inpatient) for a full-time role at Jeff Hwy. You will perform routine radiographic procedures, mentor junior staff, and ensure diagnostic-quality images in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications include completion of an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT registration or registry-eligible with licensure within 90 days, a current state license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Current ARRT registration or registry-eligible and state license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician order and procedure accuracy.
• Use radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explain procedures to patients for understanding.
• Independently operate imaging equipment per protocol.
• Review images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
• Perform timely quality control procedures and address issues.
• Assist in departmental operations (inventory, scheduling, maintenance).
• Adapt communication and approach to diverse patient populations.
• Perform other related duties as required.
