Job summary

Ochsner Health System in Louisiana is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assess patients and safely perform routine radiographic procedures, mentoring junior staff and students as needed. The role requires ARRT certification or registry eligibility with a temporary license, BLS, and ability to work flexible hours across facilities.

Sign-On Bonus Available Up to $20,000 and Referral Bonus Up to $5,000 for eligible candidates; travel between Ochsner facilities may be required.

Qualifications

Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
No work experience required.
ARRT certification or registry-eligibility with state license within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Verifies physician order and procedure for accuracy.
Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
Operates imaging equipment independently per protocol (may involve NG tubes, IVs, catheters, contrast).
Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
Performs quality control procedures and notifies/remediates as needed.
Assists in departmental operations (inventory, scheduling, equipment maintenance).
Adapts communication and approach to different patients; ensures privacy and consent.
Performs other related duties as required.
