NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Registered Nurse for Inpatient Psychiatry, Part Time, days, alt weekends. You will provide professional nursing care per physician plans, assess patient needs, and document progress.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and mentor staff, ensuring holistic patient and family care. The role requires NYS RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable, and strong communication.

Competenze

• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• BLS certification and de-escalation training; ACLS and PALS as required.
• TCAR Certification (SICU, PACU) for Emergency/critical settings.

• Collects patient health data with patient/family involvement.
• Performs initial assessment based on presentation.
• Records nursing data in the interdisciplinary assessment.
• Demonstrates awareness of age/cultural needs and disabilities.
• Ongoing assessments per policy and patient response.
