Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for the Psychiatric Access Center. You will deliver professional nursing care, assess patient needs, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient and family well-being.

The role requires NYS RN licensure, BLS, and strong clinical collaboration skills; ACLS/PALS are preferred. The position involves alternating weekend shifts in a supportive clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Two-year nursing program with NYS licensure is required.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license and BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred; TCAR certification beneficial.
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per physician plans for patient comfort and safety.
• Assess needs, implement plans, monitor progress, and document observations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet holistic patient needs.
• Direct delivery of nursing care and participate in orientation of new staff.
• Incorporate discharge planning and education for patients and families.
