NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Psychiatry unit. This part-time role runs days from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm with alternating weekends, supporting comprehensive patient care under physician plans and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Formación

• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of professional nursing practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• The RN collects patient health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Performs initial assessments based on patient presentation.
• Documents the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Admission Assessment.
• Adapts nursing care to the needs of diverse age groups and cultures.
• Incorporates discharge planning into the admission process.
• Develops and executes a plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.
• Works with patient, family and healthcare providers to implement care plans.
• Documents updates to the plan of care and patient progress.
• Delivers patient education tailored to learning needs and developmental level.
• Maintains patient safety and supports a smooth continuity of care.
