Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO seeks an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to join a 55-person pharmacy team. You will support daily operations, prepare prescriptions, and coordinate medication access.

You’ll work with pharmacists and other technicians to optimize patient care throughout hospitalization. The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and statutes.
• Any lapse may result in disciplinary action at the hiring manager's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting clinical and patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and perform calculations as needed.
• Compound medications as appropriate to practice site.
• Ensure supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and verify tasks when required.
• Fill and maintain medication supplies, including controlled substances, per policy.
