Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. You will support daily operations, prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and assist pharmacists and technicians to optimize drug therapy for hospitalized patients.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license.
• Inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in collecting patient information and preparing prescriptions.
• Utilize pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure supervision and verification by a pharmacist.
• Manage controlled substance inventory and ensure security and compliance.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
