Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations, prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and assist in developing workflows for a growing program.

You will work with pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe medication delivery and patient care throughout the hospital stay, with 8 weeks onsite training and access to CE credits offered.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license for state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacya regulations and controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records per policy.
• Prepare medication orders, perform calculations, and compound medications as needed.
• Obtain supervision/verification from pharmacists when required.
• Maintain medication supplies and supervise controlled substances inventory.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
