Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a full-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Norfolk, VA. The role involves filling and delivering medications under supervision, triaging questions, and using hospital systems to ensure QA and accurate patient information.

The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Qualified candidates will have a Virginia Pharmacy Tech License and may hold a CPhT license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License is required.
• CPhT license is preferred (NHA/PTCB).

Responsibilities

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the technician's scope of practice.
• Uses appropriate systems and ensures quality assurance as required.
• Operates pharmacy equipment and performs duties as assigned.
