Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the Inpatient Central Pharmacy team at Vanderbilt University Hospital. You will assist pharmacists with preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications, and provide customer service to internal and external customers.

The role supports sterile compounding training is provided; shifts include 8- and 10-hour options, with occasional weekend rotations and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA to be considered.
• Allied health background helpful, but certification is required.
• Shifts include 8- and 10-hour options with weekend rotation and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Performs activities as directed by pharmacists and/or pharmacy managers in accordance with laws and hospital policies.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
