Job summary

Vanderbilt University Hospital is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Inpatient Central Pharmacy on an evening shift. Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists in preparation and dispensing, maintaining inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires certification (PTCB or NHA) and offers opportunities to cross-train across central pharmacy operations, including Omnicell deliveries, sterile product prep, and OR pharmacy support.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with national or state certification.
• Less than 1 year of work experience in pharmacy setting preferred.
• Graduate of an approved technician program or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications.
• Apply department processes for inventory control.
• Follow laws, regulations, and hospital policies in daily tasks.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operate pharmacy computer systems and related technologies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership.
