Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support the inpatient central pharmacy at Vanderbilt University Hospital. This role involves assisting pharmacists with preparation, dispensing, inventory control, and daily operations while delivering excellent customer service.

The position requires certification and adherence to hospital policies in a fast-paced clinical setting. Shift is Monday–Friday, with every 4th weekend rotation, located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills demonstrated in a pharmacy environment.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to operate pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
