MercyOne Health System in Northeast Iowa is hiring an Inpatient Pharmacy Tech I. Under the supervision of the pharmacist, you will assist in day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including preparation and distribution of medications to patients and patient care areas. This role aligns with MercyOne's mission and values.

Schedule is 7 on/7 off, Evening shift 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Requirements include Pharmacy Certified Technician within 12 months, Iowa Board registration as Pharmacy Technician

Formación

• Pharmacy Certified Technician required within 12 months from registration with the Board of Pharmacy.
• Registered with Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee prior to starting employment.
• OR registered as a Pharmacy Intern with the State of Iowa at time of hire.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail; ability to work evenings and 7 on/7 off.

Responsabilidades

• Use medication orders to identify, locate and pull appropriate quantity of medication needed.
• Prepares medication for dispensing.
• Packages medication order for delivery.
• Delivers prescription orders to patients or patient care area under the direction of the pharmacist.
• Performs computer data entry and print functions.
• Gathers information required to prepare prescriptions and/or other pharmacy functions.
• Enters accurate and complete data into computer system.
• Verifies and maintains up-to-date information.
