Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group seeks an Inpatient Pharmacy Tech I to support the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. You will assist in preparing and distributing medications under pharmacist supervision, and help ensure accurate delivery to patient care areas.

This full-time, rotating-shift role requires completing pharmacy technician registration within required timelines and maintaining up-to-date medication records. MercyOne offers opportunities for growth within Northeast Iowa's health system.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician within 12 months of registration.
• Registered with Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee prior to starting.
• OR as a Pharmacy Intern registered with the State of Iowa at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.
• Prepare and dispense medications.
• Package medication orders for delivery.
• Deliver prescription orders to patients or patient care area under the direction of the pharmacist.
• Enter data into the computer system and maintain up-to-date information.
• Support other pharmacy functions as needed.
