Xanitos, Inc is hiring full-time inpatient patient sitters for all shifts at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield, OR. You will provide patient visual and audible observation in alignment with an RN and Xanitos leadership, following daily duties and safety protocols.

The role requires staying at the patient’s bedside, responding to emergencies, and ensuring patient safety while maintaining professional communication with staff, patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.
• Ability to read and understand written English communication.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required.

Responsabilités

• Monitor patient visually and audibly at all times.
• Remains at bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Redirect patient from at-risk behaviors.
• Complete observation reports at assigned times.
• Interact professionally with staff, patients and visitors.
• Immediately summon nursing staff if assistance is needed.
• Report safety hazards and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
• Assist with repositioning, ambulation and meal setup as directed by RN.
• Attend hand-offs and ensure coverage during breaks.
• Comply with confidentiality and hospital policies.
