Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System, a 140-bed hospital, provides inpatient services for adolescents, adults, military, veterans and first responders. Working with licensed clinical staff, the Mental Health Technician will offer compassionate, hands-on support to address patients' physical, social, and behavioral needs.

Join a team of psychiatrists, nurses, therapists and activity specialists and contribute to a therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED as required.
• Experience in direct patient care is preferred.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant Training or prior psychiatric experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The MHT provides routine non-acute physical, behavioral, and mental care to the patient on the milieu under the direction of licensed staff.
• Completes all required documentation in a clear, concise manner, showing understanding of patient goals and treatment plan.
• Responsive to patient specific factors and adapts to clinical intervention to fit individual patient need/goals.
• Fosters and actively assists in maintaining unit’s therapeutic milieu.
