Responsibilities

• Assign codes to inpatient and professional services across care settings.
• Select codes from ICD, CPT and HCPCS in accordance with documentation.
• Identify principal diagnosis and procedure for inpatient discharges and related DRG.
• Review coded inpatient data for accuracy in the VERA program and adjust as needed.
• Code inpatient professional fees for identified inpatient admissions.
• Utilize Outlook, Excel, Word, Access and encoder suite in daily tasks.
• Collaborate in a team environment, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
