Job summary

Medasource is currently seeking experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract role. The position supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and requires strong inpatient coding experience with complex cases.

Ideal candidates will hold CCS or RHIT/RHIA credentials and be proficient in Epic EHR and 3M encoder, with a minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience in an academic medical center or trauma setting.

Qualifications

• CCS certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered.
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Experience using the 3M encoder

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a range of specialties, including Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU and other complex inpatient cases.
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations
