Job summary

Medasource is hiring experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote 6-month contract. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment, requiring strong inpatient coding experience and familiarity with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

The position is remote with PST-hours and start date ASAP, with potential for extension based on project needs and performance within an academic medical center setting.

Qualifications

• CCS certification preferred; RHIT/RHIA credentials will be considered.
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience in an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR.
• Experience using the 3M encoder.

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Additional complex inpatient cases
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations

Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered
