Job summary

The position requires 2+ years of inpatient RN experience, active licensure, and ACLS/BLS certifications. Employees participate in unit leadership training and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have 2yrs of RN inpatient experience.
• Current RN licensure (IDFPR) in Illinois or eligible for licensure if transferring.
• ACLS within 1 year; BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care.
• Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
• Modifies plan of care based on safety and quality needs.
• Communicates with others to resolve issues.
• Precepts staff and coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Floats to various inpatient units as needed.
• Provides direct nursing care and collaborates with team.
