Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire (American Heart Association).
• BLS within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association).
• Education includes an Associate's Degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties specific to the unit scope.
• Implements procedures and nursing theories within practice area.
• Maintains accurate nursing documentation for team integration.
• Completes initial patient assessments and develops care plans.
• Implements and updates care plans and nursing interventions.
• Modifies care plans to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Communicates with team to resolve issues.
• Provides feedback and mentors peers to expand knowledge.
• Identifies learning needs and initiates solutions.
• Meets all departmental competency requirements.
• Floats to Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, ICUs as needed.
• Completes Unit Nurse Leader Training when required.
• Delivers direct nursing care and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.
• Documents assessments, diagnoses, plans, and evaluations.
• Precepts staff from various units as needed.
• Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
