Qualifications

• Licensed RN (IDFPR) in good standing.
• ACLS within 1 year per AHA guidelines.
• BLS within 30 days per AHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for the healthcare team.
• Completes initial patient admission assessment and develops plan of care.
• Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
• Modifies plan of care to ensure patient and staff safety and reports hazards.
• Communicates with team to resolve issues.
• Provides feedback for professional development of peers and collaborates with colleagues.
• Identifies learning needs and initiates solutions.
• Fulfills departmental competency requirements.
• Floats to various inpatient units as needed.
• Provides direct nursing care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team.
• Conducts and documents assessments, diagnoses, plans, interventions, and evaluations.
• Precepts staff as needed.
• Coordinates care with the multidisciplinary team.
