Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Professional Registered Nurse Inpatient Services CAP 1 to join our clinical advancement program. This role provides and coordinates care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group, with supervision from seniors.

The CAP1 RN participates in teaching, leadership and quality improvement activities within the kidney care team and may supervise other staff while advancing through CAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under supervision with guidance from the Educator, Preceptor or collaborating RN.
• Collects and analyzes patient data pre-during-post treatment and documents in the medical record; adjusts treatment plan as indicated.
• Provides initial and ongoing education to patients and families.
• Directs and provides safe patient care for assigned patients as prescribed.
• Initiates and coordinates communication with dialysis providers and facility staff to ensure continuity of patient care.

Education
