Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder to accurately code hospital inpatient accounts under the supervision of the Manager of Coding and Data Quality.

The role ensures proper reimbursement, supports research and compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintains high coding accuracy. Responsibilities include analyzing inpatient cases, querying documentation as needed, and ensuring timely, compliant billing.

Competenze

• Requires formal ICD-10-CM and CPT training.
• Inpatient coding experience in acute care preferred.
• CCS/CIC/CPC/RHIT/RHIA credentials required or to be obtained within 1 year.

Mansioni

• Analyze inpatient cases and assign ICD-10/PCS codes for reimbursement and compliance.
• Query providers to clarify documentation as needed.
• Maintain accuracy to minimize denials and support timely billing.
• Review records to extract data for code assignments.
• Coordinate with hospital departments on billing and registration issues.
• Adhere to AHIMA standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize EHRs and coding references for efficient coding.
• Participate in ongoing coding education and DRG reviews.
