Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an In-Patient Coder to handle medical coding and data entry for hospital inpatient visits, including CABG, Ortho, and Med cases. The role utilizes 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline coding and billing processes.

Essential duties include accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, DRG assignment, and compliant physician queries, with duties extending across multiple sites as needed. HIPAA and regulatory compliance are required.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent experience.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification REQUIRED.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases REQUIRED.
• Experience working with 3M 360 Encoder HDM REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assigns ICD-10-CM and PCSCodes based on documentation and DRG accuracy.
• Create compliant physician queries when needed.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists consistent with client contract.
• Float between multiple sites and coding specialties.
