The incumbent will float between sites, ensuring accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and DRG assignment while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and related regulations. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho and Med cases.
• Experience with 3M 360 Encoder HDM required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: assign ICD-10-CM and PCS diagnoses and procedures accurately.
• Ensure proper DRG assignment based on documentation and guidelines.
• Create compliant physician queries as needed.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists in line with client contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators correctly.
• Provide excellent customer service and support across sites.
