Advocate Health is seeking a remote Professional/ Hospital Coder Quality role focused on coding accuracy, audits, and standardization across the enterprise. You will interpret coding rules, maintain guidance, and partner with leadership, clinicians, and education teams to improve documentation quality.

The position requires AHIMA/AAPC credentials, 5+ years of expert-level coding experience, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Associate degree or equivalent education and experience required.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC is required.

Responsabilidades

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements for accurate Professional and Hospital coding.
• Develop and update coding guidance and reference materials for enterprise consistency.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and verify documentation completeness and accuracy.
• Track audit findings and compliance risks, documenting patterns and corrective actions.
• Analyze coding quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare summaries and reports for leadership, audits, and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with Integrity Operations, coding leadership, clinicians, and education teams to improve documentation.
