Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a skilled supervisor for inpatient coding to lead the Coding Service Center. You will oversee operations, ensure high quality, and standardize coding practices across the organization.

Responsibilities include monitoring DNB, acting as the primary contact for coding issues, and partnering with CDI to improve physician documentation. The role requires strong supervisory experience and ICD-10/3M Encoder proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in healthcare coding.
• Two to three years of supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and 3M Encoder.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate inpatient coding operations within the Coding Service Center.
• Promote standardization of coding practices across the organization.
• Monitor Discharged Not Billed (DNB) reports and timely filing to support financial health.
• Act as the primary point of contact for coding and billing problem resolution.
• Partner with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) to enhance physician documentation.
