Job summary

HonorHealth in Phoenix is seeking a senior Health Information Management Coding leader to oversee system-wide inpatient and outpatient coding, abstraction, and DNFB reduction. You will supervise the coding staff, set policies, ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and collaborate with the Network Coding Manager to optimize reimbursement timelines.

• Associates degree or 2 years' related experience required.
• Bachelors degree preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversees workflow and productivity for system health record coding, abstracting, and DRG/APC assignment.
• Provides resources to hospitals, surgery centers and clinics to maintain the discharge not final billed turnaround.
• Leads assigned section, participates in hiring, evaluating and terminating processes.
• Collaborates with Network Coding Manager and Senior Network HIM Director to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Designs and develops ways to decrease Discharged Not Final Billed (DNFB).
