Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Coding Lead to supervise workflow for system health record coding, abstraction, and DRG/APC assignment. You’ll drive DNFB reduction, mentor staff, and partner with HIM leadership to ensure timely reimbursement and compliant coding practices.

The role requires CCS/CIC/RHIT/RHIA or CPC credentials, with 2+ years in inpatient/outpatient coding leadership. Day shift in Deer Valley, AZ, coding department. Join a team dedicated to accuracy and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Associates or 2 years’ work related experience required.
• Bachelors preferred.
• Experience in inpatient/outpatient hospital coding and auditing.
• Coding certifications in inpatient or outpatient domains are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workflow and productivity for system health record coding and abstraction.
• Lead DNFB reduction efforts and ensure timely reimbursement.
• Provide training and leadership for coding staff and ancillary personnel.
• Monitor DNFB reports and collaborate with management for process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with third-party payers and coding standards.
