Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a clinical unit. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient conditions, and help with admissions, discharges, and transfers as part of the inpatient team.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, candidates with limited experience who can complete a two-week training program, and solid reading, math, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Limited or no experience; must attend 2 weeks of training.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and documents activities of daily living and vital signs.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Documents vital signs, intake/output, and treatments; reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in unit activity such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
