Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of the RN. You will document patient information in the EMR, assist with admissions, discharges and transfers, and participate in unit activities to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to read and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care and comfort measures for patients in stable condition.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents direct patient care and activities (ADLs, vital signs, mobility, specimen collection, I&O, meals, glucose testing).
• Participates in quality initiatives and patient satisfaction activities.
• Accurately documents vitals, treatments and changes; reports concerns to nursing staff.
• Participates in unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
